Research Progress on Anti-corrosion Coating Technology for Transmission Line Fittings
Power fittings are exposed to outdoor environments for long periods and are subject to various corrosion forms including atmospheric corrosion and electrochemical corrosion. Research on efficient anti-corrosion coating technology is significant for extending fitting service life and reducing maintenance costs.
Traditional anti-corrosion methods: Hot-dip galvanizing is currently the most widely used anti-corrosion method, with coating thickness typically 65-85μm. This method has low cost and mature technology, but limited service life in high salt fog and high humidity environments.
New anti-corrosion technologies: In recent years, nano-composite coatings, graphene anti-corrosion coatings, and plasma electrolytic oxidation technologies have made significant progress. Laboratory tests show that graphene coatings can achieve over 2000 hours of protection in salt spray tests, 3-4 times that of traditional galvanized layers.
Application prospects: With advances in materials science, new anti-corrosion coating technologies are expected to be more widely applied in the power fittings field, significantly reducing line maintenance costs.
