China's UHV Transmission Projects Enter a New Construction Boom in 2024

Published: 2026-08-10

In 2024, China ultra-high voltage (UHV) transmission project construction continues to accelerate, with multiple major lines approved and commenced. State Grid announced plans to start three direct-current and four alternating-current UHV projects this year, with total investment exceeding 200 billion yuan.

Key projects such as the Inner Mongolia to Zhejiang UHV DC project and Shaanxi to Hubei UHV DC project have entered substantive construction phases. These projects will significantly enhance west-to-east power transmission capacity and are crucial for optimizing energy resource allocation and promoting new energy consumption.

Industry analysts note that UHV lines require大量 power fittings including suspension clamps, dead-end clamps, vibration dampers, and spacers, driving sustained market growth in the power fittings industry. China power fittings sector is entering a rare development opportunity period.
